J’étais partie à pied faire mes provisions et, alors que je me trouvais à une vingtaine de mètres du Lidl, j’ai aperçu un SDF en train de faire la manche devant les portes coulissantes.
En voyant cette scène, j’ai ressenti une certaine tristesse.
Mais à mesure que je m’approchais, j’ai remarqué que la personne que je pensais en difficulté tenait un iPhone à la main. Elle portait des vêtements propres, avait un joli sac et même un bol en argent pour recueillir les pièces.
Comme quoi, l’habit ne fait pas le moine.

I had walked to do my grocery shopping and, when I was about twenty meters from Lidl, I saw a homeless man begging in front of the sliding doors.

Seeing this scene made me feel sad.

But as I got closer, I noticed that the person I thought was in need was holding an iPhone in his hand. He was wearing clean clothes, had a nice bag, and even a silver bowl to collect coins.

As they say, you can’t judge a book by its cover.

Doch je näher ich kam, desto mehr bemerkte ich, dass die Person, die ich für bedürftig hielt, ein iPhone in der Hand hatte. Sie trug saubere Kleidung, hatte eine schöne Tasche und sogar eine silberne Schale, um Münzen zu sammeln.
